The hub for LGBT and LGBT-friendly festival-goers during Sundance and other Park City film festivals

A note from Queer Lounge

Due to tough economic times and budget cuts, sadly, the Queer Lounge will not have a physical venue in 2010 in Park City during Sundance and Slamdance. Instead, Queer Lounge will be supporting and referring audiences to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation's (GLAAD) events and panels in Park City, taking place at Sundance's Filmmakers Lodge at 550 Main Street, 2nd floor. And Queer Lounge will be supporting the Human Rights Campaign's celebration in Park City for the documentary "8: The Mormon Proposition" in addition to producing the Queer Lounge Closing Night event, the legendary "Homos Away from Home" party.

Our staff and volunteers will continue to do our best to support the visibility and awareness of LGBT-inclusive films and produce educational and professional networking events for the LGBT film community.

To all the filmmakers with LGBT-inclusive selections at Sundance and Slamdance: Congratulations. By making it into the top film festivals in the country, you have the power to influence. We're here for you, and thank you for all your good work.

— Ellen Huang, Executive Director, Queer Lounge
